Kya's not doing ANYTHING that the docs want her to do. We literally cannot increase her oxygen anymore and even though she is taking breaths, they are not strong enough to get the oxygen into her system. She sounds REALLY wheezy, like an air leak in your car window (yeah that really annoying one, where you check all the windows to make sure there all the way up!) The biggest concerns we have are her lack of coughing and her low oxygen SATs.
So right now they are planning on putting her on what is called a ByPap machine, which basically ventilates you without putting a tube into your airway. They have her partially sedated (just enough to keep her comfortable, but still awake) and we are crossing our fingers that it will help us to get her to breath more deeply, thus allowing her to sat better and hopefully get her coughing!!

Oh Laura! We will keep Kya in our prayers. Our family was hit with the swine flu a few weeks ago (Josh brought it home from the academy, about a dozen guys were ill) and Easton was very sick for several days. Keep us updated, hope she is doing better today. Miss you guys!
